Affinity Recruitment has been engaged by a multinational financial services business to assist in their search for an International Tax Reporting Manager.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end automatic exchange of information (AEOI) compliance programme for the business across the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands jurisdictions.
*Undertake gap assessments and deliver a compliant solution;
*Be the subject matter expert on international tax reporting;
*Share knowledge, product guidance documentation, train and support relationship managers;
*Maintain and develop the AEOI compliance programme, identifying areas of enhancement where applicable;
*Review tax documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance;
*Undertake quality control of the tax reporting aspect of the client management system;
*Maintain the AEOI operational reporting procedures ensuring appropriate controls are in place;
*Register and deregister entities with the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Cayman and British Virgin Islands Tax Authorities in a timely manner;
*Lead the timely and accurate preparation and submission of AEOI reports across the firm in a manner which would stand up to internal audit and regulatory scrutiny and assist with regulatory projects as required.
*Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in related industry such as law or accounting;
*Must possess 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role in the financial services industry;
*Prior experience of undertaking FATCA/CRS reporting in a fiduciary environment is essential, ideally using the Cayman Islands portal;
*A sound understanding of risk and mitigating controls;
*Excellent organizational skills with a structured, methodical and pragmatic approach;
*An ability to work on their own initiative and provide direction to others;
*Willingness to meet tight deadlines and work overtime as necessary in order to meet those deadlines.
Base salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be in the range of US$90,000 to US$115,000 as well as a full range of premium benefits. Full relocation package also included.
