Finance Officer

The purpose of this position is to perform and support the entire accounts receivable process, and other transactional finance elements of the business.

Duties:

  • Provides timely and accurate maintenance of the company’s receivables subsequent to original invoicing;
  • Support customer’s Disputes/claims process alongside the SSC;
  • Provide support in the entire credit and collection process;
  • Reconciliation of payments received through credit cards;
  • Reconciliation with Couriers with Shipments against payments received;
  • Filing of DDR’s in a daily and monthly order for easy retrieval and storage;
  • Respond to queries from Cash Application team according to deadlines established;
  • Cash Sales Reconciliation daily and report any unremitted cash to Finance Lead;
  • Download and reconcile RPA, Visa pack and, cash Freight accounts on a daily basis clear and follow up on any un-reconciled waybills;
  • DVRA response to cash freight shipments, via GWEB
  • Bank statements review;
  • Reconciliation of the Bank open items for the incoming entries;
  • Participate to the Credit committee monthly meeting;
  • Participate to the Bank status weekly meetings;
  • Support Accounts Payables on a as needed basis;
  • Additional ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is essential, with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree desirable;
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including telephone and customer service skills.
