Senior Associate - Restructuring

Overview:
Our client, a global leader in risk and financial advisory solutions, is seeking a motivated Senior Associate to join its growing Restructuring team based in the Cayman Islands. This role offers exposure to complex and high-profile restructuring, insolvency, and forensic engagements, often spanning multiple jurisdictions. You will work as part of a global advisory platform alongside specialists in valuation, investigations, expert witness services, and transaction advisory.
 
The ideal candidate is adaptable, commercially minded, and enjoys solving complex problems in a fast-paced, international environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
•    Supporting a wide range of restructuring and forensic engagements, including liquidations, receiverships, restructuring assignments, litigation support, asset tracing, and forensic accounting investigations
•    Reviewing books and records, managing creditor claims, conducting fund flow analyses, and assessing financial performance
•    Assisting with legal claims, including professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duty matters
•    Drafting sections of expert reports and reports to courts, committees, and creditors
•    Working closely with senior management, clients, creditors, and external advisors (lawyers, auditors, consultants)
•    Contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives
•    Collaborating with teams across offshore and international jurisdictions, 
•    Experience in offshore insolvency and complex cross-border matters, particularly across BVI, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, USA and PRC jurisdictions is a bonus.
 
Qualifications / Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
•    Studying toward or newly qualified chartered accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA), ideally with Big Four or global mid-tier training
•    2-4 years’ relevant experience in restructuring, insolvency, or forensic investigations; offshore and cross-border experience is an advantage
•    Strong financial and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
•    Confident communicator with strong report-writing and client management abilities
•    Commercially aware, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial data systems
