Opportunity Overview:
Our client, a leading offshore law firm is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Employment Lawyer to join its top-ranked, Tier 1 Dispute Resolution Practice based in Bermuda. This is a rare chance to work in a collegiate and high-performing team, advising a prestigious client base including major international businesses, large local employers, and senior executives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•    Advise on a wide range of employment and immigration law matters.
•    Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and immigration documentation.
•    Represent clients in tribunals and courts, including the Employment Tribunal, Human Rights Tribunal, and the Supreme Court.
•    Conduct sensitive workplace investigations and provide strategic advice.
•    Deliver responsive and technically sound legal solutions to clients.
•    Collaborate with partners and colleagues across practice areas on client matters.
•    Take the lead in mentoring junior lawyers, providing guidance on performance and professional development.
•    Contribute to the firm’s know-how, business development, and client marketing initiatives.
•    Represent the firm at conferences, events, and client training sessions as required.
 
Candidate Requirements:
•    Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years PQE, specialising in employment law within a Commonwealth jurisdiction (experience in Bermuda preferred but not essential).
•    Strong advocacy and client management experience.
•    Proven ability to handle complex employment and immigration matters independently.
•    Outstanding academic credentials, including at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) degree from a respected university.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a commitment to professional excellence.
