Assistant Financial Controller

Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, the Assistant Financial Controller will support the day-to-day operations of the Cayman/BVI Finance Department and provide financial and strategic support to senior management and practice leaders.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, management reports, and partner briefings.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare operating, capital, and cash flow budgets.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivables, vendor reconciliations, and cash flow projections.
• Manage annual audits and produce financial statements in accordance with reporting standards.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and support department heads with analysis.
• Enhance internal controls, policies, and financial procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Liaise with banks, review and approve electronic payments, and manage payroll processing.
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.
• Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a law firm or financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills; experience with AdEx or iManage an advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
