Accounting Manager (Temp to Perm)

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, both internal and external. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager oversees all financial transactions, manages general and sub-ledgers, handles month-end closings, and prepares timely statements and reports. The Accounting Manager will ensure expenditures are properly authorized and disbursed, receipts are accurately recorded and reconciled, and all processes comply with relevant policies and GAAP. Additional duties include reconciliations, bank statement reviews, journal postings, variance analyses, audit support, fund monitoring, and invoice preparation.
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional accounting designation (i.e., CPA, ACCA) with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role with management skills.
- Have a thorough understanding of accounting policies and procedures, knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent people skills and solid communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership skills to motivate cross-departmental teams and achieve the desired performance.
