Compliance Manager

Based in the Cayman Islands, the Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and oversight of a robust, multi-jurisdictional compliance framework within a professional services environment. Acting as a subject matter expert across AML/CTF, sanctions, and regulatory compliance, the role drives the compliance monitoring plan, conducts risk-based reviews, ensures adherence to evolving legislative requirements, and oversees the assessment and escalation of suspicious activity.
The Compliance Manager plays a key leadership and advisory role, partnering with internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors to maintain strong governance and operational integrity. The incumbent will be expected to manage compliance reporting to senior leadership and the Board, support global compliance initiatives, deliver training programmes, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the business.
Requirements:
- University degree in relevant field and/or ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance (or equivalent accredited compliance qualification).
- At least 5 years’ compliance experience gained working within a financial services or professional services firm.
- In-depth knowledge of the applicable AML/ATF regulations and reporting requirements in Bermuda as well as other regional jurisdictions, such as the British Virgin Islands, Channel Islands, and Asia, would be beneficial.
- Experienced in the establishment and maintenance of appropriate systems and controls, including documented policies and procedures ensuring compliance with relevant AML/ATF laws and regulations.
