 Overview:
We are working alongside a Well- Established Private, Faith-Based school here in Cayman who are now looking for a School Principal to provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student wellbeing. The role requires an experienced educational leader with a strong background in American education systems, curriculum design, and inspection-based evaluations, capable of leading staff and students in a values-driven school community. 
 
 
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
• Provide clear leadership aligned with the school’s mission, vision, and values
• Lead the development and implementation of the school’s strategic and academic plans
Academic Oversight
• Oversee curriculum planning, development, and implementation across all grade levels
• Ensure alignment with U.S./American educational standards and best practices
• Monitor student performance and drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning
Inspection & Compliance
• Lead preparation for inspection-based evaluations and accreditation processes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safeguarding, and accreditation requirements
Staff Leadership & Development
• Recruit, support, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff
• Promote professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
• Build strong relationships with parents, governing bodies, and the wider school community
• Represent the school professionally with external stakeholders and partners
Operational Oversight
• Work with administrative teams on budgeting, staffing, and resourcing
• Ensure safe, effective, and well-managed school operations
 
 
Candidate Requirements
Essential
• Master’s Degree in Education or a related field
• 7–10+ years’ senior leadership experience within U.S./American school systems
• Proven experience leading schools through inspection-based evaluations or accreditation processes
• Strong background in curriculum design, development, and implementation
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
Desirable
• International or overseas school experience
• Familiarity with faith-based or values-driven educational environments
