About the Position:

Professional Support Lawyer

 

An esteemed offshore law firm is embarking on an expansion initiative and is in search of a Professional Support Lawyer with a background in Corporate transactions to join their Cayman Islands office. Renowned for its outstanding reputation and vibrant culture, this firm offers an environment where corporate professionals can seamlessly integrate and flourish.

 

Working closely with the firm’s corporate practice and the Group Head of Knowledge Management, this opportunity is open to lawyers with minimum three years PQE preferably possessing a robust corporate background coupled with PSL or Knowledge Management experience within another transactional department.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Assisting in formulating the department’s knowledge strategy and executing broader knowledge initiatives, such as document automation and proofreading.

·         Staying abreast of legal and market advancements to ensure lawyers remain up to date.

·         Curating, developing, and maintaining the department’s collection of precedents, making it easily accessible, and fostering contributions to know-how.

·         Aiding in organizing, designing, and delivering legal and knowledge training within the department.

·         Collaborating with partners and the marketing team to pinpoint relevant topics and facilitate the creation of client alerts and thought leadership content.

·         Addressing queries and research requests from fee earners promptly and effectively.

 

 

Experience:

·         Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years PQE with a strong corporate fee-earning background. Qualifications should be from a Commonwealth jurisdiction such as England, Wales, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or Cayman.

·         Alongside your initial corporate experience, it’s essential to have a strong background as a Professional Support Lawyer or Knowledge Management Lawyer within another corporate department at a prestigious law firm.

·         Exceptional academic achievements and a history of long-term stability in your career are prerequisites.

·         While offshore experience is advantageous, we also welcome applications from individuals aiming to shift offshore and establish a lasting career in Grand Cayman.
