The successful incumbent will assist in establishing and managing the overall compliance framework for the business; leading policy development, and ensuring the correct controls are in place in order to achieve a robust and effective aligned holistic compliance framework.

In addition to advising the Group on compliance matters for the Cayman Islands, the AMLCO/MLRO will keep abreast of changing laws and regulations, informing senior management and updating policies and procedures accordingly. Additional responsibilities include aiding Group regulatory efforts overseas as well as suspicious activity and financial crime, client onboarding, compliance monitoring, and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience at a regulated financial services provider in a senior compliance role.
  • Previous experience in an AMLCO and/or MLRO role.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge and prior experience dealing with CIMA is essential.
  • Internationally recognized professional AML designation (CAMS, ICA, etc.).
  • Proven technical knowledge of onshore and offshore financial services products.
  • Solid understanding of legal requirements and controls.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner with key stakeholders of all levels, globally.
