Senior Insolvency Practitioner (Director/Partner)

A high-growth international advisory firm is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced professional to join its expanding Insolvency & Restructuring practice in the Cayman Islands.

This position will play a key role in managing a portfolio of insolvency and restructuring appointments, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will lead engagements across voluntary, provisional, and official liquidations, including complex cross-border and contentious matters, as well as receiverships and broader restructuring and advisory mandates. The role requires strong technical expertise and a proven ability to manage sophisticated appointments from inception through completion.

In addition to technical delivery, the role carries a significant business development focus. The successful candidate will be expected to help expand the firm’s presence across the Caribbean, U.S., and Asia by strengthening client relationships, identifying and securing new opportunities, and contributing strategically to the continued growth and positioning of the practice.

Requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, law, or related field and professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, JIEB, or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in insolvency and restructuring, with a proven track record of undertaking appointments for voluntary, provisional, and official liquidation appointments, as well as receivership appointments and other advisory and restructuring engagements.
  • Possess strong business relationships in the Caribbean, Asian, and U.S. markets, demonstrating the ability to expand client networks and generate new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of insolvency legislation, court procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities with the ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders, including clients, legal professionals, and regulatory authorities.
  • Embrace a proactive and results-oriented mindset, thriving in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Salary will be very competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and will include profit share.
