The purpose of this role is to deliver a full range of fund administration services – including financial accounting, NAV calculations, financial statement preparation, and transfer agency support – while working closely with managers, client leads, and internal teams to meet reporting deadlines and maintaining strong client relationships. 

In this role, you’ll apply fund governing documents to financial reporting and allocations; prepare or review complex deliverables such as journal entries, fee and carried interest calculations, waterfall models, investor allocations, and capital activity; and coordinate capital call and distribution notices. You will also manage audit and tax requests, handle daily client and investor inquiries, support compliance obligations, and assist with other projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or a related field. 
  • Internationally recognized accounting designation (e.g., CA, ACCA, or CPA).
  • Must possess at least 4 years’ post qualified experience in fund auditing or administration, specifically in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of strong corporate governance practices and the understanding and experience of risk mitigation.
  • Team oriented with the desire to thrive in a diverse, dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines with strong organizational skills.

As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering first class accounting, valuation, investor relations, risk management, and corporate administration services for a portfolio of highly intricate investment funds, catering to a discerning base of institutional clients.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
•    Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
•    Facilitate seamless integration of new business ventures.
•    Adhere to stringent reporting deadlines and fulfill challenging client obligations.
•    Provide comprehensive accounting, valuation, investor relations, risk management, and corporate administration services.
 
Requirements:
•    Possession of a professional public accounting qualification is mandatory.
•    Previous experience in a similar role or a combination thereof involving complex securities and derivatives products.
•    Demonstrated expertise and technical proficiency in alternative investment products, operational processes, and the offshore financial services sector.
•    Proficiency in systems technology, valuation methodologies, accounting practices, share transfer and registration procedures, prime brokerage, financing, and custody services.
•    Familiarity with portfolio management and analytics systems is advantageous.
