This Public Relations & Communications Specialist role supports the strategic communications agenda, helping build public trust, strengthen its reputation and engage diverse audiences across traditional, digital and social media. Working closely with the Strategic Communications & PR Manager, you’ll develop and execute communications campaigns, manage media relations, create compelling content, support public awareness initiatives and coordinate events and stakeholder engagement.
The role also has an important reputation and crisis-management component, supporting responses to sensitive issues and providing communications support during incidents. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, internal teams, media and external stakeholders, while tracking campaign performance and using insights to continuously improve communications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a communication or public relations practitioner.
- Experience managing relationships media and journalists, marketing/advertising agencies, vendors and sponsors.
- Proven success developing and managing public relations plans and strategies with excellent judgement.
- Able to forge useful partnerships with people from diverse backgrounds and organizations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
