Compliance Manager

The role also involves maintaining and enhancing compliance policies and controls, supporting regulatory inspections and audits, preparing risk and board-level reporting, driving process and system improvements, and partnering closely with various business units and operations teams to ensure compliance requirements are effectively embedded across the business. Strong leadership, technical AML expertise, and the ability to balance regulatory obligations with commercial objectives are essential.

Requirements:

• At least eight (8) years’ experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory advisory role within a financial institution, corporate services provider, or law firm, with proven a proven track record in a managerial position.
• Relevant compliance or financial crime related certification (i.e., CAMS, ICA, CFCS, CFE, CIA) or equivalent.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Cayman Islands AML/CFT/CPF and sanctions framework, with practical application of CDD and beneficial ownership across multiple entity types.
• Skilled at interpreting complex legal and ownership structures, identifying jurisdictional risks, and determine appropriate CDD requirements.
• Clear concise communicator able to articulate regulatory expectations and risk‑based considerations to colleagues, senior leadership, and regulators in high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environments; sound judgment in independent risk assessment and escalation.
• Ability to independently assess and escalate risks and/or failure of standards to be met to senior leadership.
• Effective working independently and as part of a team, consistently delivering high-quality outputs.
