Affinity Recruitment has been engaged by one of Cayman’s leading financial institutions to assist in their search for a Senior Risk Officer to join their team. Supporting the Risk Manager, the successful individual will be expected to execute the business’ risk management framework.
Duties:
Assess and challenge the risks identified, as well as monitor and ensure the accurate calculation of Key Risk Indicators;
Assist the Risk Manager with the implementation of a Risk Management Framework;
Assist the Risk Manager with the business’ Stress Testing Framework;
Review and challenge Incident Reports, including any Preventative Measures that were raised; update the Incident Report Log and create summaries of Incident Reports for the review of Senior Management;
Review the business’ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all non-AML and due diligence related regulatory rules and Statements of Guidance;
Assist the Risk Manager with reviewing Initial Risk Assessments for Project Business Cases and provide recommendations with respect to the risks identified and the ratings provided by Business Units.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in risk, finance, accounting, business or economics;
An internationally recognized professional accreditation in Financial Risk Management would be advantageous;
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a risk management role;
Knowledge of the regulatory laws, rules, statement of guidance and best practices.
