Affinity Recruitment has been engaged by a global financial services business to assist in their search for a Senior Manager, Trusts to join their well-established and ambitious team.

Duties:

Ensure that the Trusts are set up legally and are compliant with the Cayman Island Monetary Authority;
Manage all risks related to Trust work that may result in any liability to the business, and ensure the Trustee’s fiduciary responsibilities are adhered to;
Review and understand all Trust formation documents to ensure the Trust documents are properly interpreted and implemented;
Design and implement controls around appointment of other service providers to each trust and ongoing due diligence and oversight requirements on those providers;
Ensure that all regulatory fees are paid on an annual basis and on time;
Bill trusts for trustee services and follow up on late payments;
Pay careful attention to any investments or disbursements that the Trust may make to ensure it is within the boundaries of the Deed;
Keep track of all income and distributions and obtain proper records in support;
Assist in annual audits as required and ensure audited financials are filed;
Ensure that all agreements and documents are in order and on file;
Ensure that all due diligence and anti-money laundering regulations are followed;
Work with Head of Operations on any additional hiring within the Trust team;
Liaise with local service providers as required;
Work with head of compliance to write and update policies and procedures documents governing all Cayman Trust work;
Assist sales and client integration team as required to on-board new Trust work.

Requirements:

At least 5 years’ experience within the trust and corporate administration field;
Degree and/or ICSA and/or STEP Qualification;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Detailed understanding of trust and corporate structures and related statutory requirements and local legislation;
An understanding of anti-money laundering policies and guidelines;
Willing to work long hours and exercise initiative in the performance of duties;
Willing and able to travel overseas as necessary.
