Affinity Recruitment has been engaged by one of the islands most exciting businesses to assist in their search for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their well-established team. This individual will be expected to lead the development of long-term financial analyses and reports for management and the Board of Directors, as well as external reporting.
Completing advanced financial analyses, special projects and ad hoc reporting as required; clearly communicating results and variance explanations;
Creating and maintaining detailed spreadsheets and long-term financial models that support monthly financial reporting and forecasting, and the annual business plan;
Evaluating and testing business processes to determine adequacy of controls (design and effectiveness), compliance with policies and procedures i.e. internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements;
Providing monthly SOX updates to the SOX team, the majority shareholder and the CEO and CFO.
Developing financial support and presentations for communicating with investment banks, rating agencies and investors;
Preparing financial analyses required for debt and equity offerings, financing’s, and regulatory filings.
Estimating costs and calculating revenue requirements for competitive regulated and non-regulated projects;
Supporting the accounting research function for new transactions, including complex transactions such as leases, financial instruments, consolidations and joint ventures. Documenting conclusions in accounting research and policy memoranda as needed;
Performing reviews of new contracts to assess financial and accounting implications, including embedded derivatives, to ensure accounting is in accordance with GAAP;
Assisting with assessing and implementing technology solutions to support the accounting for complex transactions, as needed.
Bachelor’s degree with major in relevant business field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, or Economics);
Professional Accounting Designation, CPA preferred;
Experience with Sarbanes Oxley compliance preferred;
Minimum of five (5) years of related analytical experience preferably in budget development, financial modeling and project analysis;
Ability to research and analyze various types of data, highly organized and detail-orientated.
