Affinity Recruitment have been engaged by a highly reputable, multinational technology organization to assist in their search for a finance Manager.
We are looking for a Finance Manager (Financial Accountant) to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. The successful applicant will be able to establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and oversee the daily operations including: month and end-year process, accounts payable and receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, fixed asset activity;
Maintain day-to-day financial control of the business within budgetary guidelines;
Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit control;
Act as cheque signatory for and authorize expenditure up to limits as agreed by the directors of the company;
Assessing risk for businesses on a financial, operational and strategic level;
Providing strategic financial & business planning advice;
Evaluating accounting and internal control systems;
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures;
Providing management with material weaknesses in control identified and recommendations thereto;
Ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, integrity & business focus of financial systems & processes;
Developing & improving financial procedures, systems & processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency;
Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company;
Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management;
Engage in bench-marking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement;
Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities;
Compile key business metrics and report on them to management;
Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management;
Annual budget setting process;
Preparation of monthly management packs;
Promote high staff utilization and productivity and provide effective on-the-job training;
Manage all administration related matters;
Communicating with external parties i.e. Banks, Creditors, Auditors, Regulatory Body, Vendors;
Finalizing accounts at year end, preparing the annual audit pack and drafting of annual financial statements;
Submission of regulatory filings and submission within required deadlines.
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related area;
Accredited Accountant (internationally recognized qualification) – CA, CPA, ACCA;
Significant Team Lead experience;
Quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen;
Must be able to interact with all levels of management, specifically Senior Management;
Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills;
Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings;
Able to translate financial information to various business audiences to drive decision making;
Advanced skill level with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint).
