Affinity Recruitment has been engaged by a reputable business on island to assist in their search for a Temporary Communications Manager.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all public relations and communication strategies and plans on behalf of the business.
*Develop and manage communication programmes from conception through implementation to ensure they are properly researched and planned, to meet agreed objectives;
*Prepare and communicate news releases;
*Organize and co-ordinate news conferences;
*General media handling, including providing accurate and comprehensive information; maximising communication opportunities through print, broadcast and social media;
*Identify, research and advise on trends in public opinion, and implications for communications between the business and the public;
*Provide media and marketing advice as necessary to senior management.
*Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or business administration;
*3-5 years’ working experience in communications/public relations;
*Excellent interpersonal skills;
*Strong written and oral communication skills;
*Ability to present complex information concisely to the media and the public;
*Good research and problem solving skills;
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
*Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
