Affinity Recruitment has been engaged by a highly reputable organization in the legal industry to assist in their search for a Business Development and Marketing Manager to join their ambitious and expanding team.
The successful incumbent will work closely with partners to win new business in their target markets (local or international) managing the process from beginning to end, conducting appropriate research, providing direction and solutions, ensuring best practice, and project managing campaigns and initiatives.
Manage, coordinate, implement and review BD & marketing plans for the Cayman Islands various departments and practice areas ensuring alignment to the firm’s global strategy including reviewing and updating through-out the year;
Develop and maintain BD & marketing strategies, campaigns and initiatives in line with practice area and company objectives;
Identify and develop collaborative, cross-selling and client-centric opportunities on a group-wide, jurisdictional, departmental/practice and individual basis – with specific focus on the Cayman islands office and its target markets;
Co-ordinate the roll out and delivery of end-to-end BD & marketing activity covering all aspects of the marketing mix including establishing metrics for tracking measurement and monitoring of activity;
Be able to produce analytics and reports to measure and monitor the performance of specific jurisdictions and departments ensuring a constant learning and feedback loop is in place;
Understand financial performance of jurisdiction, department and/or practice area and individual – be able to provide solutions to drive revenue opportunities;
Ensure all relevant BD & marketing data is input and recorded in the relevant databases;
Act as champion for InterAction CRM with responsibility for adoption across all jurisdictions, departments, and practice areas within remit;
Effectively manage resources and budget to ensure highest return on budget spend including reconciliation of spend;
Work closely with PR & Communications Manager to manage distribution across all channels and ensure all collateral and online communications are kept up to date and on message;
Support Fee Earners with day-to-day requirements including production of collateral, up dating of profiles, co-ordination of events/activities and client communications/interactions.
A relevant professional qualification and/or degree;
Previous BD and/or marketing experience in a legal or professional services firm (essential);
Proven stakeholder management skills, with ability to work with and influence senior individuals, challenging and overcoming organisational barriers;
Experience with legal directory and award submission;
Experience using InterAction CRM or similar and managing client databases;
Previous experience in the development and management of key clients and/or key account programmes;
Understanding of panel processes, pitching and delivering RFPs/RFIs;
Proven project management and presentation skills;
Experience in event management;
IT skills including MS Office Suite, database applications and desk top publishing.
In return a highly competitive remuneration is on offer commensurate with experience and qualifications, and will be circa US$100,000 per annum plus a full range of premium benefits.
