The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of local compliance policies and procedures in order to maintain a solid compliance framework compliant with Cayman Island’s regulations.

The Risk & Control Manager will act as the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer, and will keep abreast of changes to local regulations, informing management and relevant sister offices thereon.

They will take the lead on transformation projects, serve as primary contact for regulatory inspections and internal audits, and will be responsible for maintaining the risk management database – assisting with internal risk assessments where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum 8 years of total work experience in a field related to Risk and/or Compliance within the finance industry.
  • University graduate degree with a concentration in finance or equivalent.
  • Must possess a comprehensive understanding of trust and fund structures.
  • Solid understanding in the regulatory framework and requirements within the trust and fund industry.
  • Independence, leadership and organizational skills, while being detail oriented are essential.
  • Strong project management skills are preferred.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required.
