Regulatory Compliance Associate

  • Work with Manager to develop and embed a robust, pragmatic and coordinated regulatory compliance framework with appropriate controls and testing that meet Group policies and procedures and all local regulatory rules and expectations including Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (“CIMA”), Department of Information and Tax Cooperation (“DITC”) and any other relevant regulatory body.
  • Assist with preparation for regulatory, internal and external audits and assist with addressing recommendations and findings (where applicable)
  • Work with the Manager to review and enhance regulatory compliance policies and procedures and ensure proper implementation
  • Assist with identifying new regulatory requirements in addition to periodic review of existing regulatory requirements and work with Manager to assess their impact and implement changes/remediation when necessary
  • Work with Manager to provide pragmatic advise and serve as SME relevant to regulatory matters including assistance on interpreting relevant regulatory and conduct risk requirements
  • Assist with enhancing the local conduct risk framework including developing and maintaining tools for identifying, measuring and monitoring conduct risks and practically implementing relevant general and local directives
  • Assist with testing the design and effectiveness of conduct risk controls in line with conduct risk control blueprint
  • Assist with computing and reporting on conduct-related key risk indicators (KRIs) and other relevant statistics
  • Assist Manager with monthly and quarterly reporting on pertinent regulatory and conduct matters
  • Assist with the preparation of training on regulatory and conduct risk matters for relevant employees
  • Support the Manager with regular or ad-hoc activities when required (e.g., Company searches via Coris)
  • Support the Management Committee including preparation of the Management Committee meeting pack and minutes and providing information as requested
  • Any administrative tasks to support the Manager or the Management Committee.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Law or related field;
  • At least (3) three years’ experience in Business, Banking, Finance, Law or related field;
  • Knowledge of Cayman Islands financial service regulations particularly conduct of business regulations;
  • Experience with data analytics;
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Ability to evaluate technical issues, analyze facts and consult;
  • Systems thinker, capable of developing effective systems and process and interpret information to determine practical solutions;
  • Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, multitasking ability, organizational skills and effective prioritization of deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and diplomacy skills with a high comfort level in dealing with Senior Management, Client Relationship/Service Officers and external counterparties/ stakeholders;
  • Absolute confidentiality for all clients; and
  • Must be able to work independently.
