Corporate Paralegal

Our client are seeking a highly experienced professional to join their team as a Corporate Paralegal. The Corporate Paralegal will be responsible for providing a variety of corporate functions to the business in accordance with Cayman Islands laws and internal policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • Assume responsibility for providing corporate services to the company’s portfolio of entities;
  • Conduct regular reviews of each entity within the portfolio;
  • Maintain responsibility for the formation and organization of companies and their administration including preparing minutes, opening bank accounts, obtaining trade and business licenses and other local licenses and dealing with due diligence requests;
  • Assist with any and all regulatory requirements in relation to the portfolio;
  • Attend board meetings as recording secretary and taking minutes of such meetings;
  • Prepare complex directors and shareholders minutes/resolutions, agreements and any other documents as required including providing advice on any relevant Cayman Islands laws;
  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • An ICSA qualification, at a minimum of diploma level, or a recognized paralegal qualification;
  • 8+ years’ of relevant experience in the field of Corporate Law;
  • Excellent knowledge of local laws, regulations and AML guidance notes;
  • Excellent attention to detail and complete accuracy;
  • Excellent time management/organisational skills, ability to prioritize effectively and work to tight deadlines and under pressure with limited supervision;
  • Ability to multi-task in a time critical environment and be able to respond quickly to changing priorities;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to successfully liaise with people at all levels;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications, Visio and Viewpoint (preferred).
